Welcome to our beautiful region !
Nestled between the Cevennes Mountain Range and Provence, deep within the Southern Garrigues ecology, unique to this region, which spans across the fierce Gardons. At equal distances from NIMES, ALES, and AVIGNON one finds the UZEGE; a land hearty and festive, with her capital UZES, and famous Duchy which was also the first Duchy of France.
A majestic territory, the pride of its people who have long been considered the cultivated amateurs of high gastronomy with rich and varied products such as Wine, Olives, Truffles and Pelardon Cheese, just to name a few.
The CAVES DE L'UZEGE, a union of wine producers founded in 1973, encompasses 10 wine cooperatives along with 10 independent wine estates that produce in excess of 300,000 hectoliters (40,000,000 bottles) of wine annually.
Situated in Saint Quentin la Poterie, near UZES, the Caves de l'Uzege opened up a store in the 1980's selling its own products. Building on this success we have included other products from the region.
Today we offer around 500 products to the public. Our concept is simple: one basket we call the 'Panier Gourmand' which you fill to convene with your tastes and desires, or perhaps one of precomposed baskets.
